Chirality measurements center

Do you find it difficult to measure and interpret chiral optical results? Do you struggle with chiral thin films? If yes, contact us

We are experts in Circular Dichroism of colloids and thin films.

Measuring circular dichroism in thin films poses unique and fascinating challenges. These materials are particularly intricate to study due to optical phenomena such as linear dichroism and linear birefringence. Achieving accurate measurements requires custom-designed sample holders that allow for precise rotation of the sample. Our group has extensive expertise in analyzing these materials. We excel at interpreting results, identifying artifacts, and customizing measurement techniques to suit specific materials. For circular dichroism measurements, we utilize a CHIRASCAN system specifically configured for this purpose.

We are experts in Circularly Polarized Luminescence of thin films.

We have significant experience with this technique, acquired through the measurement of numerous thin-film samples exhibiting circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) in transmission mode. These measurements were conducted in collaboration with Prof. Dr. Guido Clever’s research group. In the coming months, we will have the capability to perform these measurements on-site.

We are experts in Müller Matrix Polarimetry of thin films.

We are experts in measuring the Müller Matrix Polarimetry (MMP) of thin films, a proficiency developed through numerous measurements conducted at the Diamond synchrotron, specifically on the B23 beamline led by Prof. G. Siligardi. This technique enables us to disentangle optical effects in thin films, such as linear dichroism, linear birefringence, circular dichroism and circular birefringence.
